Traffic and ITS Design Engineer

This opening is for a Design Engineer who will work under the direction of senior engineers to prepare
design plan packages for Traffic Engineering and ITS projects. This position will also assist in various
engineering capacities in the wide variety of exciting transportation projects.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited school; focus in transportation preferred
  • Colorado EIT or PE with up to six years of experience
  • Proficiency in MicroStation preferred
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and writing skills

Traffic Engineer

Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. has a part-time (20 hours per week) position available for a Traffic
Engineer. The hours are flexible during our normal business hours of 7:30 AM – 4:15 PM.
Experience or related classes required.

  • Must be familiar with Syncho and HCS software. Ideally, also familiar with RODEL and
    VISSIM.
  • Must be familiar with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD

Traffic Engineer

Full-Time
Location Richmond, VA

Kimley-Horn is conducting a national search for a passionate, licensed civil engineer to join our growing Traffic Operations team in our Richmond, Virginia office. This individual will profitably manage transportation tasks and projects. They will also have opportunities to develop and grow their own projects and clients. This role will require an individual with an interest in growing and mentoring staff, developing and maintaining client relationships, and supervising task and project production. Management responsibilities will include: helping the team to meet or exceed client expectations, assisting in the identification and tracking of new project leads, writing proposals and scopes of work, establishing budgets, and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables. Prior transportation engineering experience in Virginia is not a requirement.

Position Requirements

– At least four years of experience in transportation engineering
– Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization
– Ability to manage & mentor staff
– Ability to interact comfortably with clients
– Excellent presentation skills
– Strong writing skills
– Outstanding organizational skills and an ability to work independently
– Simulation and ITS experience
– Signal design experience
– Writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
– Ability to win work, manage projects from TIAs to large tasks and see them through to completion
– Professional Engineering Registration, or the desire and ability to obtain.
– CADD skills
